Part-time Fijian and full-time sporting mercenary Semi Radradra has declared that he’s Fijian (again).
According to a report by Fox Sports, Radradra said “if there’s an option to play with Fiji Bati, I would love to play with them”.
It’s believed that Radradra made the decision after Australian coach Mal Meninga made it understood that Radradra would not be considered for Australia.
Meninga made it clear that Australia wouldn’t select any player who turns their back on rugby league, as Radradra has (you’d think Australia wouldn’t select any player who is not Australian either, but we digress).
Regardless, it’s academic now, as Radradra has declared that he’ll play for the Bati in the end-of-year World Cup. Unless somebody pays him more to do something else. Then, he’ll probably do that.
