UPDATE 12:46pm: Nrl.com confirms the Scott re-signing.
Apparently Jason Taumalolo wasn’t to be the last Cowboy to sign a “lifetime” deal.
Hot on the heels of Taumalolo’s 10-year contract that will see him remain a Cowboy until he’s 34-years-old, comes word that forward Matt Scott has inked a two-year deal himself, also tying him to the Cowboys until he’s 34 (though we suspect this contract won’t be as controversial).
This is the third big signing for the Cowboys forward pack, who recently signed Storm forward Jordan Maclean to a three-year-deal.
Scott has played 233 first grade games since making his debut for the Cowboys in 2004, and has also played 22 State of Origins for Queensland, and 27 caps for Australia.
