Bird meets with Brown

April 3, 2017, 9:40 pm By Joel Leave a Comment

It appears that the Knights have a sizeable war-chest, and they’re not afraid to use it.

Fox Sports reports that Knights coach Nathan Brown met with Cronulla utility Jack Bird today.

Having already signed highly rated youngster Kalyn Ponga for next year, the Knights are still looking to bolster their spine, and appear to have ear-marked Bird as the man to partner Trent Hodkinson in the halves.

We’re not sure where that leaves current five-eighth Brock Lamb, but outside his immediate family, we’re not sure that anyone else cares.

Bird has played 54 matches for Cronulla, and two State of Origins for New South Wales.
