Despite the hiring of Ivan Cleary as head coach, the Tigers could be in for the fight of their lives to keep their off-contract stars.
According to Fox Sports, Wests captain Aaron Woods and fullback James Tedesco could both be potentially lost, having attracted interest from rival clubs.
The report links Woods to the Canterbury Bulldogs, where Woods’ close friend David Klemmer plies his trade; while the Roosters have made a late play for Tedesco.
“Most likely Aaron is going to head to Canterbury and play under Des Hasler” claimed NRL reporter, James Hooper. In relation to Tedesco, he added “(Anthony Minichiello) has a strong rapport with James, so I wouldn’t be surprised”.
The Tigers released a statement in regards to their decision to withdraw their offer to Mitchell Moses, stating that “the Club has decided to prioritise the re-signings of captain Aaron Woods and James Tedesco”.
If they’re not careful, they mind wind up with none at all.
