Tigers coach Ivan Cleary declared that “you’re either on the bus, or off the bus”, and now it’s looking increasingly likely that Luke Brooks will be riding be that bus by himself.
According to a Channel 7 report, Tigers captain Aaron Woods is set to leave Concord at the end of the season to link with Canterbury. Mel McClaughlin tonight reported that Woods has “committed to Des Hasler’s Bulldogs for next season”.
The Bulldogs have also been linked to Tigers fullback James Tedesco, but reports this afternoon suggested that the Roosters are now the front-runners to land his signature. It’s unknown if the Woods news will lead the Tigers to sweeten their offer to Tedesco.
Tigers five-eighth Mitchell Moses was the first Tiger to jump ship, understood to have agreed to terms with Parramatta for next season, although that remains unconfirmed by the Eels.
Woods has played 131 first grade games for the Tigers since making his debut in 2011, as well as 11 State of Origins for New South Wales, and 9 Tests for Australia.
