The expected arrival of Warriors five-eighth Kieran Foran and Tigers prop Aaron Woods in 2018 is certain to lead to the departure of some current stars at season’s end. And it appears that halfback Moses Mbye thinks he could be one of them.
“A contract doesn’t mean too much these days,” Mbye said. “To make space, blokes have got to go, and if you want new people, that’s just how it works.”
The arrival of Foran in particular means that at least one member of the Bulldogs’ current spine will have to make room, though it’s worth noting that of Mbye, fullback Will Hopoate, five-eighth Josh Reynolds and hooker Michael Lichaa, only Mbye is currently under contract for 2018.
Nonetheless, Mbye has been reportedly shopped around following the recent emergence of halfback Matt Frawley. A report yesterday linked Mbye to the Cowboys.
Mbye has made 63 appearances for the Bulldogs since making his debut in 2014.
