Kangaroos fullback Darius Boyd has now joined halfback Johnathan Thurston as members of the Australian Test team under an injury cloud, heading into Friday’s Test against New Zealand.
According to AAP, the Broncos fullback failed to complete the team’s session this morning, withdrawing with “hamstring soreness”.
A team spokesperson said he’ll “continue to be assessed over the next few days.”
In better news, Cowboys halfback Thurston successfully completed the session, and appears to be on track to play on Friday night.
According to back-rower Boyd Cordner, Thurston believes that if he gets through Wednesday’s session without issue, “he should be sweet.”
This news won’t be welcomed by Cowboys coach Paul Green, who last week said that Thurston wouldn’t have his blessing if he hadn’t first played for the Cowboys (which he didn’t).
