A year after casting off hooker Nathan Peats as a result of the club’s salary cap scandal, the Eels are interested in bringing the talented rake back to Parramatta.
Peats is off contract at the end of the season, and Eels boss Bernie Gurr says the hooker is on their wishlist.
“Nathan Peats has been on the radar for our club as well,” said Gurr. “We’re always looking at our roster to try and improve it. Nathan’s name has been tossed up.”
In contrast, with regards to the prospect of bringing home favourite son Jarryd Hayne, Gurr said “there have been no substantial discussions around Jarryd Hayne returning to the club.”
Peats has played 109 first grade games for the Titans, Eels and Rabbitohs.
