The Storm have suffered just their second defeat of the season.
According to News Limited reports, Broncos five-eighth Anthony Milford has knocked back the Storm’s advances in order to remain at Brisbane – but not before cashing in handsomely.
It’s reported that in order to retain Milford, the Broncos were forced to increase their offer to $4 million over 4 years – an increase of $100,000 per season, and $1.3 million overall from their original $2.7 million 3-year offer.
The Broncos will now turn their attention to retaining fullback Darius Boyd, while the Storm are no closer to replacing the departing Cooper Cronk.
Milford was #9 on The Obstruction Rule’s Free Agent Top 100.
