The Warriors have reportedly told utility back Tui Lolohea that they’ll grant him an early release, and it sounds like the Tongan international will have no shortage of suitors.
According to Stuff, the Knights have have now joined the race for the out-of-favour Lolohea, viewing him as a halves partner for Trent Hodkinson (if he ever returns to first grade).
However, the Knights won’t have it all their own way.
Lolohea is reported to have met with the Tigers (who view him as a fullback replacement for the departing James Tedesco) on Thursday, and he’s also attracted the interest of the Cowboys (to replace Kalyn Ponga) and the Raiders.
Fortunately, the Warriors still stubbornly refuse to select the talented speedster in first grade, so he should have plenty of time to think about his options.
Lolohea has played 53 first grade matches for the Warriors, as well as 2 Tests for Tonga and 1 for the Kiwis.
