If it’s any consolation to Warriors prop Charlie Gubb, Tui Lolohea would know how he feels.
According to Stuff, after having his 2017 option activated by the Warriors, the popular forward has been dropped to reserve grade and not offered a contract for 2018.
As a result, the Wellington-born front-rower looks set to depart the Warriors – and it could even be as soon as this year.
Fox Sports are reporting that Gubb is in talks with the Cowboys about a 2-year deal, and that the North Queensland club are keen to bring him over immediately, as they struggle to cover the long-term loss of Matt Scott.
Gubb has played 36 first grade games for the Warriors since making his debut in 2013.
Gubb is #70 on The Obstruction Rule’s Free Agent Top 100.
