If the Dragons don’t want to pay Josh Dugan fullback money, apparently there’s somebody who will.
Channel 7 are tonight reporting that the Sharks are prepared to offer the Dragons star around $1 million a season to lure him to the Shire.
The report also suggests that the Sharks intend to play Dugan at fullback, which no doubt will come as news to Valentine Holmes, who also covets the custodian role (but if push came to shove, we’d rather have Dugan).
Dugan has previously ruled out going overseas, so it would appear to be down to just the Dragons and Sharks in the race for his signature.
Dugan has played 145 first grade matches for the Dragons and Raiders, 9 Origins for New South Wales, and 7 Tests for Australia.
He’s #7 on The Obstruction Rule’s Free Agent Top 100.
