UPDATE 17/5 @ 2:56pm: The Bulldogs have confirmed the signing, on a two-year deal.
The Bulldogs roster is beginning to take shape.
Having already added Tigers prop Aaron Woods and Warriors five-eighth Kieran Foran, Fox Sports is reporting that the Bulldogs have now agreed to terms with Sharks five-eighth Fa’amanu Brown – but not to play six.
According to the report, Brown – who’ll join the club on a two-year deal – has been recruited to play as “a hooker who can cover the halves”.
It’s fair to say that this likely doesn’t bode well for the future of current rake Michael Lichaa at Belmore, with Foran, Brown, Moses Mbye and Matt Frawley now all on the roster and unable to fit into the Bulldogs spine.
Brown has made 16 appearances for the Sharks since his debut in 2014, and played 2 Tests for Samoa.
He’s #92 on The Obstruction Rule’s Free Agent Top 100.
