Maroons coach Kevin Walters will really be sweating on the fitness of Johnathan Thurston now.
Accotding to News, Broncos five-eighth Anthony Milford dislocated his shoulder on Friday night, during his side’s victory over the Rabbitohs. The injury occurred when he landed awkwardly on his left shoulder, while diving for a loose ball.
“It will be a six week process at least,” said Broncos coach Wayne Bennett. “We’ll see where he is at the end of that, and whether he can play the rest of the season, or it’s season-ending.”
Conveniently for the Broncos, former Kiwis half Benji Marshall was in fine touch when he came onto the field, and they also have the option of calling up 3-Test Kangaroo Ben Hunt from reserve grade.
