Maybe this is the dawn of a new era for New Zealand rugby league.
According to Stuff, NZRL chairperson Garry Fissenden has announced his resignation, after three years in the role. He’ll be replaced in the interim by Reon Edwards.
Fissenden leaves the NZRL with a $643,000 surplus, but also with a struggling Test team, a new Test captain, and no assistant coaches.
A new Chair will be elected at the AGM next Monday.
