The value of Bulldogs hooker Michael Lichaa has apparently dropped below that of the Vietnamese Dong.
According to Triple M, Lichaa was reportedly offered to the Eels, who are currently without both their top hookers indefinitely, for the rest of the year – and they rejected him.
“This leaves Michael Lichaa in real limbo for next year,” said The Australian reporter Brent Read, “because there is no offer on the table (from the Bulldogs), and it doesn’t look like he will get one.”
The fact that the Eels would rather turn to Cameron King, who hasn’t played first grade in almost two years, than the current Bulldogs starter, speaks volumes about how far Lichaa has fallen.
It remains to be seen if he’ll be offered an NRL contract anywhere for next year, but at this rate, the Super League could be looming as his only option.
