After agreeing to terms three weeks ago, the Panthers and boom second-rower Corey Harawira-Naera have finally made it official, with the Panthers today announcing his re-signing, on a new three-year deal.
The new contract will see Harawira-Naera remain at the foot of the mountains until the end of 2020.
With this extension, the only regular first grader remaining off contract at Penrith is Sitaleki Akauola, though with him having fallen down the forwards pecking order in recent times, it doesn’t appear likely he’ll be retained.
Harawira-Naera made his debut in Round 4 against the Knights, and has since scored 6 tries in 10 appearances.
He was #53 on The Obstruction Rule’s Free Agent Top 100.
