They may have lost Jordan McLean to the Cowboys, but there’ll be no shortage of big men in Melbourne next year.
In addition to having added Bulldogs prop Sam Kasiano for next year, Fox Sports are reporting that the Storm have agreed to terms with giant forward Nelson Asofa-Solomona on a two-year extension. The deal will keep him in Melbourne until the end of 2019.
The report indicates that the Storm will formally announce the re-signing later this week.
With Asofa-Solomona off the market, the best remaining unsigned props for next year are Broncos forward Adam Blair, Sharks prop Sam Tagataese and the Sea Eagles’ Brenton Lawrence.
Asofa-Solomona has made 42 appearances for the Storm since his debut in 2015.
He was #19 on The Obstruction Rule’s Free Agent Top 100.
