If the Roosters are to continue on their current path towards a Top 4 playoff berth, they’re going to have to do it without reliable fullback Michael Gordon.
The Roosters have today released their injury report, and the prognosis for Gordon isn’t good (though it’s better than season-ending surgery, so that’s a plus).
Gordon has received the scans on his pectoral tear, and the club has decided on a path of rehabilitation, which will have Gordon missing for “up to 8 weeks“.
In his place, the Roosters have several viable options, including Connor Watson, Latrell Mitchell and Blake Ferguson, with Watson arguably the best fit.
On the bright side, if his recovery goes well, Gordon should be fit and firing in time for the finals.
