He’s hardly featured in the top grade this year due to injury, but that hasn’t put the Eels off keeping off-contract forward Peni Terepo.
According to Fox Sports, the Eels have re-signed Terepo for a further 12 months, ahead of his potential return to first grade in Round 20.
Were he not injured, the 25-year-old Tongan international likely would have drawn more interest from around the league, but after playing just 2 games in the top grade this season, Terepo has made the smart choice in signing a one-year extension, and backing himself to earn a bigger deal next year.
Terepo has played 76 first grade games for the Eels, and 3 Tests for Tonga.
He was #61 on The Obstruction Rule’s Free Agent Top 100.
