In judiciary news, the NRL has announced that Tigers forward Sauaso Sue faces a one-week suspension for a dangerous contact charge, for lifting his knees into a tackle. The one week ban will apply, regardless of whether he pleads guilty or not.
Also from that match, Sea Eagles forward Darcy Lussick has been fined $1350 for pulling the hair of Tigers forward Aaron Woods.
It was all a bit weird, with the hair pull not looking at all like an accident, but rather like Lussick went actively looking to have a tug on Woods’ silky mane.
We’re not sure if this means Lussick has a crush on Woods, or if this is what rugby league “hard men” do these days to assert themselves.
Anthony Watts would be ashamed.
