It appears that the Titans’ forward pack has found the veteran leadership it was after.
According to a Fox Sports report, Sea Eagles forward Brenton Lawrence has agreed to terms with the Gold Coast club on a two-year deal, that will see him finish out his career back where it all began.
Lawrence made his NRL debut with the Titans back in 2011, and his new contract will see the 32-year-old continue into 2019.
Lawrence had also attracted the attention of the Knights, but it’s believed that the Titans’ willingness to give him a two-year deal got him over the line.
It’s anticipated that Lawrence will be joined in a re-tooled Titans pack next year by young Broncos forward Jai Arrow, who’s been tipped to join the Gold Coast club for weeks.
Lawrence has played 96 first grade games for the Sea Eagles and Titans.
