Apparently Panthers hooker Mitch Rein and Bulldogs rake Michael Lichaa aren’t the only options being looked at by the Knights, as their hooker search widens.
According to Fox Sports, Storm hooker Slade Griffin is also being considered to fill the role, following the retirement of Rory Kostjasyn, and the release of Tyler Randell to Wakefield.
The Knights are reportedly one of two suitors for Griffin (the other is unnamed), who appears likely to depart Melbourne if he can secure a bigger role somewhere else.
Griffin has played just 17 first grade games since making his debut for the Storm all the way back in 2013. The Storm would reportedly like to keep him, but at 26 years of age, if he’s ever going to cement himself as a regular first grader, this is likely to be his last, best opportunity.
