The Sharks have today released an injury report, which has confirmed that Brisbane-bound utility Jack Bird is likely to miss one-to-two weeks with a shoulder injury he picked up during their loss to the Raiders. The report notes that the injury doesn’t appear to be as serious as first feared, but he’ll visit a specialist on Wednesday to determine the full extent of the injury, and isn’t likely to be named tomorrow. They’ve listed Gerard Beale and Kurt Capewell as possible replacements.
In better news, five-eighth James Maloney is expected to return for their crunch game with the Broncos on Friday night; a game that will have big repercussions who makes the Top 4. Maloney has missed their last two matches with a broken hand.
