Obviously not dissuaded by reports out of New Zealand that Broncos forward Adam Blair has already decided to join the Warriors next year, the Knights have confirmed that they’re interested in Blair – if he’s interested in them.
According to Newcastle Sunday, via Fox Sports, Knights CEO Matt Gidley has confirmed the club’s interest in luring Blair to bolster the club’s forward pack.
“We have made contact with (Blair’s) agent, Isaac Moses, to let him know we are interested; it is just a matter of waiting to find out if he is genuinely keen to talk to us,” said Gidley.
It may well be possible that Blair had made up his mind to head to New Zealand, but being the subject of a three-way bidding war between the Warriors, Knights and Dragons may well change that decision, as his value is likely skyrocketing with each passing day.
Should they fail to lure Blair, Fox also mentioned Bulldogs forwards James Graham and David Klemmer as potential targets, assuming that the Bulldogs are ultimately forced into shedding players that they’d otherwise prefer to keep.
