Tigers coach Ivan Cleary said three weeks ago that back-rower Matt Eisenhuth was “pretty close” to re-signing, and an announcement on his future appears imminent, with Fox Sports today reporting that the terms of his new deal are “being finalised“.
According to the report, the new deal will be for a further two years.
“I’ve said openly I’m happy to be here, and I want to be here moving forward,” Eisenhuth said. “A multi-year deal would be ideal going forward.”
The news of Eisenhuth’s likely new deal comes on the back of talk over the weekend that lock Elijah Taylor is also expected to be re-signed in the coming days.
Eisenhuth has played 9 first grade games for the Tigers, since his debut in Round 15.
