Johnson returns for Warriors

August 22, 2017, 3:29 pm By Joel Leave a Comment

If you think you’d have to be an idiot to rush back your star halfback for a meaningless, dead-rubber match, barely a month after rupturing his PCL; you’d only be half right – you’d also have to be in charge of the Warriors.

The Warriors have named their Round 25 team on nrl.com, and it includes the return of Shaun Johnson from injury, as well as Ben Matulino from suspension.

They’ll be without Jacob Lillyman due to a bicep injury.

With the match only relevant to the Sea Eagles’ pursuit for a finals spot, we can only assume that either Johnson is believed to be 100 percent fit, or Stephen Kearney really hates Manly (or, most likely, it’s both).
