Disgruntled Warriors fans will be pleased to hear that change is coming, though it’s probably not the change they’d hoped for.
According to the New Zealand Herald, Warriors CEO Jim Doyle has resigned from his role, and move into an executive chairperson role. Current COO Cameron George will take over as CEO.
Also, owner Eric Watson will relinquish his position as chairperson.
“With succession in mind, this was always our plan and we’re ideally positioned to implement these moves with minimal disruption,” Watson said in a statement.
George was previously the CEO of Auckland Racing Club.
