The four-year performance enhancing drug-related suspension of Sandor Earl is set to expire, and apparently he’s not without options with whom to resume his playing career.
According to SMH, the Eels, Dragons, Storm and Raiders are all considering offering Earl an opportunity.
The Dragons have been linked to Earl for months. He’s recently moved to Melbourne, making the Storm a logical spot. His last NRL club was the Raiders, hence that connection. While the most surprising possible landing spot is the Eels, who are reportedly considering him as a replacement for Semi Radradra, until the blockbuster winger decides to return from rugby.
It’s somewhat surprising that Earl has attracted so much interest, given that he’s had four years out of the game and, frankly, wasn’t particularly good in the first place.
However, he’s still just 27 years old, and having served his suspension, we’re happy to see him give it another crack. We just don’t know where that’ll be yet.
