The Warriors may have got their men.
Having not had any success with their current roster full of Kiwi Test stars, the Warriors are set to see how they go with two more.
According to Triple M, New Zealand are close to finalising deals to bring both Broncos prop Adam Blair and Sharks utility back Gerard Beale to the club.
“It’s my understanding that [Blair] will go to the Warriors,” said The Australian reporter Brent Read. “That’s just about a done deal.”
“And the same with Gerard Beale.”
The Warriors, Dragons and Knights had been in a three-way tussle for the services of Blair and Bulldogs prop James Graham. Graham was reported as having agreed to the terms with St George over the weekend, and if Blair heads to New Zealand, that will leave the Knights empty handed (once again).
Blair has played 263 first grade matches for the Broncos, Tigers and Storm, and 39 Tests for New Zealand.
Beale has played 161 first grade matches for the Sharks, Dragons and Broncos, and 10 Tests for New Zealand.
