The Eels have arguably the most underrated forward pack in the competition, and the most underrated forward among them might be David Gower.
His value, however, isn’t lost on Parramatta, who’ve decided to bring him back at age 32.
According to Fox Sports reporter Nathan Ryan on his Market Watch segment, Gower has agreed to terms on a 12-month extension with the Eels, keeping him at Parramatta until the end of 2018.
Gower was a bit of a late bloomer, floating around the league earning limited playing time until he arrived at Parramatta in 2014. However, since joining the Eels he’s been a consistent producer, and despite falling down the pecking order, he still provides cheap, quality depth when required.
Gower has played 87 first grade games for the Eels, Sea Eagles, Dragons and Eels.
