Having lost second-rower Angus Crichton to the Roosters for next year, the Rabbitohs are aiming big in their quest to replace him. Really big.
According to Nathan Ryan on Fox Sports, the Rabbitohs have held preliminary discussions with the management of Raiders forward Josh Papalii, in the hopes of luring the Raiders wrecking-ball to South Sydney next year.
The report indicates that the Rabbitohs have yet to formally table an offer, and that Papalii may be just one of several edge forwards of interest to South Sydney.
Storm second-rower Felise Kaufusi is also named as a possible option, as is Broncos winger Corey Oates.
Papalii has played 151 first grade games for the Raiders, 9 Origins for Queensland, 9 Tests for Australia, and 4 for Samoa.
