What a difference a month makes.
After being the subject of speculation that he might be shipped off to the Bulldogs amidst the Raiders’ slow start to the year, Aidan Sezer now appears set remain the Raiders’ halfback for the foreseeable future.
According to 7Sport reporter Josh Massoud, Sezer is “very close” to re-signing with Canberra on a two-year deal, with the deal expected to be finalised “in the coming week or two”.
The Raiders’ uptick in recent results have coincided with a purple patch in form from Sezer, who’s taken command of the team in the absence of superstar hooker Josh Hodgson. If he maintains his current form when Hodgson returns in July, the Raiders might be dark horses come finals time.
Sezer has played 127 first grade games for the Raiders and Titans.
