Half a decade after the Rabbitohs stole star back-rower Ben Teo off the Broncos, South Sydney are on the verge of doing it all over again.
This time, the hard-hitting second-rower the Rabbitohs covet is Jaydn Su’a, with The Daily Telegraph reporting that the Bunnies have made a $500,000 per season, three-year offer for the highly touted youngster.
With the Broncos trying to somehow re-sign a host of off-contract stars like Tevita Pangai Jr, Corey Oates and Payne Haas, you can’t help but feel like at least one will get away, and the Rabbitohs apparently hope it’s Su’a.
South Sydney have a spot to fill in the back-row following the defection of Angus Crichton to the Roosters, and were last week linked to Raiders star Josh Papalii.
Su’a has played 14 first grade games for the Broncos since his debut in 2016.
