The Knights are serious about upgrading their forward pack, with Titans middle Jarrod Wallace the latest high-end front-rower targeted by Newcastle.
According to the Newcastle Herald, Wallace is in negotiations with the Knights, and visited Newcastle this week to tour the facilities.
He’s the second Queensland Origin prop to visit the Hunter, after Tim Glasby got the tour last month.
Wallace has previously been linked to a return to the Broncos, but with Brisbane also looking to retain Payne Haas and Tevita Pangai Jr (who is another Knights target, himself), it’s unlikely Brisbane can fit them all in – leaving the Knights in the box seat to swoop on whoever is left out.
Wallace has played 101 first grade games for the Titans and Broncos, and 2 Origins for Queensland.
