UPDATE 14/5 @ 5pm: The Titans have confirmed that Wallace has indeed agreed to an extension, that will keep him on the Gold Coast until the end of 2022.
Despite having reportedly considered returning to the Broncos, Titans prop Jarrod Wallace doesn’t appear to be going anywhere.
According to The Australian reporter Brent Read on twitter, Wallace is now expected to “take up extension from (the) Gold Coast”.
Read adds that the extension is expected to keep Wallace at the Titans until the end of 2022.
Having now reportedly kept Wallace, the next question will be whether or not they’re successful in their pursuit of Raiders prop Shannon Boyd.
Should they be able to add Boyd to a front row rotation already consisting of Wallace, Jai Arrow and Ryan James, the Titans may suddenly find themselves with one of the best packs in the competition.
Wallace has played 102 first grade games for the Titans and Broncos, and 2 Origins for Queensland.
