Eventually the Panthers realised that – like most things – they’re better with Sauce.
And so today they announced that they’ve re-signed popular winger Josh Mansour to a new, three-year deal that will see him remain at the foot of the mountains until the end of 2021.
Mansour had previously been linked to a big-money offer from the Eels, but now they’ll have to look for outside back help elsewhere (might we suggest Sea Eagles winger Akuila Uate, who the Panthers had viewed as the back-up option in the event that they’d failed to keep Mansour).
Mansour has played 108 first grade games for the Panthers, 3 Origins for New South Wales, and 7 Tests for Australia.
