The Knights are quietly building one of the best backlines in the competition, with the club adding yet another experienced NRL outside back.
The club today announced the addition of Sharks winger Edrick Lee on a three-year deal from 2019, that will see him head to Newcastle until the end of 2021.
The addition is even more impressive when you consider that if the club were to also sign Roosters winger Blake Ferguson (who they’ve been openly flirting with), Lee may not even make their best team (remember, this is a backline that already boasts Shaun Kenny-Dowall and White Lightning, and has added future superstar Jesse Ramien for 2019 as well).
As it stands, the Knights look like finally featuring the sort of high quality depth required to succeed in the NRL, and they’re certainly a team on the rise.
Lee has played 83 first grade games for the Sharks and Raiders.
