Semi Radradra might be headed to rugby union (though who knows for how long), but the NRL has got one coming the other way.
The Raiders have today announced the signing of Fijian Olympic Rugby Sevens gold medalist Masivesi Dakuwaqa for the remainder of 2017.
Dakuwaqa is 190cm tall, weighs over 100kg, and grew up playing rugby league until he was 17. He played lock and second row growing up, but Raiders recruitment manager Peter Mulholland said Dakuwaqa “could end up playing anywhere”.
In order to qualify for the Olympic squad, Dakuwaqa was good enough to keep Titans star Jarryd Hayne out of the team, so he certainly has some pedigree.
