It’s looking increasingly likely that last weekend’s Tigers-Eels clash will be the only Parramatta victory Mitchell Moses is involved in this year (and the way Wests are playing, he mightn’t be involved in many for them either).
SMH have reported that late yesterday afternoon, Moses entered the office of Tigers coach Ivan Cleary and requested an immediate release. His request was rejected.
The report suggests that the Tigers believe that they need Moses in order to qualify for the finals (they likely also need about 12 games against Newcastle, but unfortunately they just have the one).
Parramatta had been hopeful of adding Moses to their squad in time to play him against the Panthers this weekend, which prompted the request from Moses. Prior to yesterday, the only request had come from his manager, on the day the Tigers withdrew their initial offer to Moses.
Moses has been named in the Tigers side to face the Bulldogs this Sunday.
