The Warriors are yet to decide on who’ll play five-eighth for them next year, but whatever they decide, they’re going to need to get someone on the books.
That someone might be unsigned Warrior Ata Hingano, after the club reportedly offered both him and winger Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad two-year extensions.
According to the New Zealand Herald, both players are “keen on staying”, and the club hopes to secure their signatures “in the next couple of weeks”.
The Warriors have been linked to Sharks five-eighth James Maloney and Panthers pivot Te Maire Martin, but both players remain under contract for 2018, leaving Hingano the best option that they can secure right now.
Hingano has played 6 first grade matches since his debut for the Warriors last year, and made his debut for Tonga this month.
He’s #76 on The Obstruction Rule’s Free Agent Top 100.
