He’s proven himself quite handy this year, filling in at five-eighth and centre, and as a result, Kurt Mann has been rewarded with a new contract.
The Dragons have today announced that they’ve re-signed Mann on a new, two-year deal. His new contract will see him remain with the club until the end of 2019.
Mann arrived at the Dragons from the Storm last year with much fanfare, but after a couple of ordinary outings at fullback, disappeared from first grade and looked like faking into obscurity, before a late season run on the wing.
In 2017 however, he’s been excellent, helping keep the offense ticking over in the absence of Gareth Widdop, and more recently working in the centres. He’d be hard to leave out, even at full strength.
He’s played 54 first grade games for the Dragons and Storm.
He was #87 on The Obstruction Rule’s Free Agent Top 100.
