Former Sharks fullback Ben Barba has resolved his future, signing with Super League club St Helens on a two-and-a-half year deal effective immediately, according to AAP.
The NRL premiership winner was in hot demand in England after his rugby union code switch flopped, and the Saints have won the race to his signature.
He won’t be seen on the field for a while though, as he still has to serve a 12-game ban for testing positive to an illicit drug. He’ll be eligible to return in Week 4 of the Super Eights.
Barba played 168 NRL matches for the Sharks, Broncos and Bulldogs.
