The Tigers were absolutely woeful Friday night against the Broncos, but the good news is that help may be on its way shortly.
According to Sunday Mail, Raiders utility back Zac Santo may hold the key to the mid-season release of Warrior Tui Lolohea, who’s been heavily linked to the Tigers.
The Tigers have made it known that they won’t release Lolohea until they’ve secured a like-for-like replacement, which is no easy task. Lolohea doesn’t currently occupy a starting spot, but does provide cover across the entire backline, including the halves.
Enter Santo. The 24-year-old has played just 3 first grade games, however two were at fullback, and one was as a bench utility.
It’s expected that if the Raiders are prepared to release Santo to the Warriors, Lolohea would be free to go.
