It was reported last weekend that Raiders utility back Zac Santo held the key to the Warriors finally releasing Tui Lolohea, as they didn’t want to grant a release and leave themselves short of outside back depth. It’s now being reported that Santo is heading to Auckland, presumably setting the scene for Lolohea to link with the Tigers.
According to WWOS, Santo has signed with the Warriors, effective immediately.
This jives with yesterday’s report that a release for Lolohea was imminent, and that he’s expected to arrive at Concord in time for their next match, in Round 13 against the Dragons.
Santo has played just 3 first grade matches, but was last year named in the ISP NSW Cup Team of the Year, and will be expected to compete for a first grade spot at the Warriors, most likely on the wing.
