Either former Bulldogs and Cowboys winger Curtis Rona is joining the Tigers, or he’s a jerk who enjoys trolling the already-suffered-enough Wests fanbase (though we’re optimistic it’s the former).
The rumours of Rona’s impending arrival have been bubbling on social media for weeks, but they’ve finally cracked the mainstream press, with SMH reporting Rona’s own social media behaviour.
According to SMH, Rona shared a social media post over the weekend stating that he’s “on the bus”, and set about liking a bunch of Tigers facebook and instagram posts.
But if that sounds like a slam dunk for the Tigers, think again. AAP yesterday reported that Rona’s manager has denied that there’s any truth to the Tigers rumours, saying that “there’s been absolutely no discussion whatsoever”.
So he’s either joining or he isn’t.
Say what you like about the Tigers, buy they’re never boring.
Rona has played 57 matches for the Bulldogs and Cowboys.
