There’s hopefully some good news on the way for the struggling Titans.
According to the Courier-Mail, Titans hooker Nathan Peats is hoping to remain at the Gold Coast, despite reportedly attracting interest from his former club, Parramatta.
“I want to stay,” Peats said. “I’m sure we can work something out in the next few weeks. I want to get a deal done sooner rather than later.”
The report says the Titans have tabled a 2-year offer, but the two sides are currently haggling over his price.
Re-signing Peats would be a huge boost for the Gold Coast club, in a season that’s at risk of ending before it ever really began.
Peats has played 107 first grade matches for the Titans, Eels and Rabbitohs, and is seen by many as a future New South Wales Origin hooker.
