ARLC Chairperson John Grant has today announced that he won’t stand for reappointment once his term ends in February 2018.
His decision was announced in an NRL press release today.
“For some weeks, I have deliberated on the changing face of the Commission post-constitutional reform… and the need for a succession plan for the role of Chairman,” Grant said.
“All well run organisations need time to properly plan for the future, and my decision at this time, assists this.”
That sound you can hear is the 16 NRL club chairpersons giving themselves a self-satisfied pat on the back.
