Their roster might be under siege from opposition teams armed with fatter cheque-books, but the Raiders have managed to get at least one off-contract forward signed up for next year.
The Raiders have announced the re-signing of forward Luke Bateman to a new, one-year deal.
Bateman has established himself as a solid role-player for the Raiders over the past three seasons, generally coming on off the bench.
With star forwards like Junior Paulo, Shannon Boyd and Josh Papalii all having received big offers from rival teams, Bateman could find himself thrust into a larger role very quickly.
Bateman has played 58 first grade games for the Raiders since his debut in 2015.
