With the Dragons struggling in recent months (last weekend’s win over the Sea Eagles notwithstanding), it should come as no surprise that they’re looking for a bit of extra help for coach Paul McGregor.
According to a WWOS report, that help may arrive, in the form of English coach Richard Agar.
Agar is currently serving as an assistant to Tony Smith at Super League club Warrington, but is reportedly close to joining the Dragons in a “recruitment and high performance manager role”.
Agar has previously coached Wakefield Trinity and Hull FC, as well as the French national team. In his club coaching career, he has a winning percentage of 43.2%.
