Dragons elite rugby league player Josh Dugan fell out with the club after they labeled him a centre. So, Sharks fullback Valentine Holmes might owe him an apology when he arrives next year, after he also called him the c-word (no, not THAT one).
According to AAP, Holmes dropped the positional slur while declaring his own desire to remain at fullback in 2018.
“I think it’s massive,” Holmes said, in regards to Dugan’s signing. “I think he’s a very good centre, and I hope that’s what he’s coming to play.”
Holmes reportedly admitted that coach Shane Flanagan hasn’t spoken to him yet about his 2018 position, though Flanagan has publically suggested that the fullback spot is Holmes’ to lose.
However it shakes out, it’s a good problem for the Sharks to have.
