UPDATE 18/7 @ 5:52pm: A new report from The Daily Telegraph reporter Christian Nicolussi has discredited this story, claiming that Reynolds in fact has a sprained thumb, and isn’t expected to miss any time.
As if the Rabbitohs’ clumsy effort against the Cowboys wasn’t enough disappointment for their fans, it now appears they’ll be without their halfback for much of the run home.
According to WWOS reporter The Mole, Rabbitohs half Adam Reynolds suffered a broken thumb, and will “miss at least a month”.
The injury is yet to be officially confirmed by the Rabbitohs, but The Mole was on point with breaking the news of Roosters hooker Jake Friend‘s broken hand last week, so we’re pretty confident in the report.
The Rabbitohs would likely need to win all their remaining matches to make the finals, and without Reynolds, they can probably start making plans for 2018.
